First Visit
Your initial appointment will consist of a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options. Occasionally, treatment can be done the same day as the consultation. However, a complex medical history or treatment plan may require an evaluation and secondary appointments to provide treatment on another day.
Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your consultation:
- A list of medications you are presently taking.
- If you have dental insurance, bring the necessary information. This will save time and allow us to help process your claims.
IMPORTANT: A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under 18 at the consultation visit.
Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to your visit (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are on any medication (i.e. heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.) or if your medical professional requires that you Pre-medicate yourself with antibiotics prior to dental cleanings and surgery due to joint replacement or a cardiac condition.
X-Rays
Dr. Sokol is proud to bring you the safety and convenience of Digital X-Rays. Digital X-rays use 75% less radiation and are ready to view in seconds These digital images give us the flexibility to email them to dental or medical specialists, as well as insurance companies for expedited processing .
Our newly installed digital panoramic machine provides a full view of both the upper and lower jaws, sinuses, TMJ’s, nasal bones, as well as the teeth. This is an excellent diagnostic tool to rule out tumors, cysts, evaluate impacted wisdom teeth, and allows us to monitor the growth and development of our pediatric patients. Since no film is placed in the mouth, this device is perfect for the anxious patient, with an active gag reflex.
If your previous dentist has taken recent x-rays (within 12-months), you may request that they e-mail (preferred) or mail them to our office.
